Offered free at Confederate Hall Education Center

Programs are 1.5 hours in length

10 scout minimum, 25 scout maximum

Starting June 2008: offered Monday - Friday only                                                                         Choose start time between 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Programs are scheduled on a first come, first served basis and must be scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance.

Find out how rocks affect our everyday lives! We値l identify common products that contain minerals found at Stone Mountain, visit the Confederate Hall geology museum to discover how mountains form and take a short hike out on the mountain to start a rock collection. Activities 1,2,4,6 and 8 in your Webelos handbook.

Discover why Rocks Rock! We値l be rock hounds, learning how to collect and identify rock and mineral samples on Stone Mountain.
