Confederate Memorial Day      May, 2012      2—4 pm
Join us for a small exhibit and demonstrations about civil war medicine. In Confederate Hall Lobby. All ages.

 

Certified Interpretive Guide Training Workshop         Tuesday, May 22 - Friday, May 25      9 am - 5 pm

Confederate Hall Historical and Environmental Education Center, Stone Mountain Park, Stone Mountain, GA

$242-$377 per person for the 4-day class

The Stone Mountain Memorial Association, in partnership with the National Association for Interpretation, is offering a professional certification course for individuals who will be delivering interpretive programs or having public contact at interpretive sites. Visit

Animal Talk            Every Tuesday & Thursday in June and July,  3-4 pm.
Join us to see and learn about some native reptiles and amphibians. Come to Confederate Hall Lobby. No registration needed. All ages.

 

Rock and Mineral Day

12 noon—4 pm Join us for rock crafts, experiments, fossils and mineral displays. In Confederate Hall Lobby. All ages.

Naturalist Rally     (fee charged)

Saturday, September 15, 9 am – 5 pm (optional evening social - 5:30 – 7:30 pm)

Join us for a full day of exploring all aspects of nature. We are assembling a wide variety of field trips within the Natural District of Stone Mountain Park to help you get outside and in nature.  Explore on a hike in the Park, or on a lichen or mushroom walk. Kid-friendly sessions will be planned.

Registration is $12 (includes lunch) for adults. Kids 16 and younger cost just $5 each (includes meal).   More information by May, 2012.
