about education: dekalb and gwinnett k-5 classroom outreach programs

Offered Monday-Friday, 9:00 - 1:00 p.m.

December, January, and February only

For the 2007-2008 school year our programs will be offered to school groups free of charge. The programs complement the Georgia science and social studies QCCs or GPS and the North American Association for Environmental Education Guidelines for Excellence in Environmental Education. The QCCs or GPS relevant to each program are linked below.

Our instructors will come to your classroom to conduct 1 hour hands-on activities. The activities closely follow the curriculum of our regular field trips. Students may be engaged through games, craftmaking, picture making, or model building.

Program descriptions are listed below.  We provide all materials. You must schedule at least 3 weeks in advance. Please contact our Education staff for additional information, or scheduling. 770-498-5658 Email: Stone Mountain Education Programs
