April
The month of April ushers
in Spring's full brillance on Stone Mountain and a parade of colors are
visiable from any given vantage point. Sunny Bells can be seen
growing in full sun on outcrop slops. Fringe trees, some of the first trees to colonize
the shallow soils, produce strange white, smoky blossoms and are easily
recognized from afar. The diminuative but showy Sandwort displays its
fragile white flowers at the same time and space as the red, succulent
Diamorpha. In the forest things are also blooming like Sweet Shrub whose
name implies its fragant leaves and dark red flowers. Express your
delight in Spring's return with a walk in the park.
